Well first off let say hello to all of you i am new to the site and thought i would introduce myself and my baby. My name is joe i am from the peoria area of illinois i am a mechanical engineer working at caterpillar but enough of the boring stuff lets get to the car. I have a 85 gsl which is in the middle of a huge resto mod i have installed a mariah motorsports widebody kit and am in the middle of deciding how wide of a wheel i want to go with. Also have a 96 jdm 13b that is in the middle of getting a large street port with 2 piece 3mm ceramic apex seals a xs power single turbo 1.15ar on the hot side and .60 ar on the cold side mounted to a tublar turbo manifold that has been ceramic coated inside and out with a 52mm external waste gate and tile bov. My upper and lower intake are being ceramic coated on the outside with a teflon coating on the inside. that is as far as i have gotten so far this is an on going project that has a completion deadline by March 1 2011

I am trying to decide on the suspension brakes and rearend next so if anyone has any good ideas please let me know this is going to be a road racer/ show car but mostly racing lol

hope to talk to you all sooner or later

It sounds like you've got a nice start on your car. As far as suspension goes, I started out with the Racing Beat stuff, but later upgraded to all Respeed equipment. In my opinion, save your money and go straight to the Respeed stuff. There's really no comparison between the two when it comes to performance.

what would you recommend for the the suspension from respeed?

Everything! smile.gif

Let's see here; I'm running the rear adjustable perches with 150 Lb springs, race version coilovers on front with 275 Lb springs. Note that you will decide what spring rates to run based on your own needs and preferences. If you have any questions, just let Billy know what you want to do with the car and he will provide you with guidance.

Front shocks are Illuminas, and on the back I've got Bilsteins (but the Illumina rears are nice to, according to my own experience).

Respeed front swaybar replaced my old Racing Beat bar. Much lighter, better mounting equipment, adjustable end links, and damn fine looking! smile.gif

About the only performance parts on my car that are not made by Respeed are:

Racing Beat exhaust
Sterling carb
ISC Racing rear adjustable swaybar
