First, I'd like to say even though I've only seen 1 finished install on rx7club.com, I'm very interested in the rack and pinion kit. It looks top notch.

Like the subject says I'd like to know if it interferes with the AC compressor location. The pictures don't make it look like it would on the 12A, but I'm doing an S4 swap and the bracket makes the AC pulley about level with the e-shaft pulley. The angle of the rack pictures make it look kinda iffy.

Thanks.

I have a customer who has run AC with the kit.

He had to modify the bracket to move the ac system up to clear.

So it can be done. We do not have brackets or kits needed to do it. It would be up to the customer.

Thank you,

Cool, thanks!

I'll be placing an order once I've got the other bits sorted out.

I have recently completed converting an '84 GSL-SE to the StageII kit. I was replacing a power steering set-up so the AC was already mounted out of the way.
After getting through the job, I think there could be some simple mods to the instructions which would make the swap easier on the PS model. including leaving the steering column intact.

Anyway, as far as the problem of moving the AC, finding the bracket for the Power Steering car should help resolve getting it done.
