I noticed the steering knuckles supplied with my rack conversion have a different geometry from the stock units. Is the purpose of this difference to change the "Ackerman affect"?

If so how do the differences affect the geometry and handling?

Just Curious!

The pieces do effect Ackerman slightly. Though the design intent was not for that purpose. When changing to a front steer setup there were allot of packaging issues to be sorted out.

Is it possible to use the original ones or are the new ones required when using the rack?

Thanks

Yes, you should use the new pieces.
