Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum but not to rotaries, I've owned 4 1st gens (mostly GSL-SE's) and currently have a '93 touring and an '84 GSL WITH the suspension swapped out for the GSL-SE one, I have tokico adjustables all around, Racing Beat sway bars, and springs on the '84 and I'm looking to get the Big brake upgrade kit but here's my predicament: Since I had the GSL-SE suspension which allows me to get nicer wheels.....I did...so now I have a really nice, and expensive staggered setup on my '84 and it is 4-bolt pattern, Everyone who speaks of the upgrade kit here keeps saying Turbo II so my question is....can I get the kit and use 86-88 se stuff (you know the 4-bolt stuff) I don't know if there is a difference in diameter, spacing, calipers size or whatever so please feel free to "upgrade" my knowledge level on this...Thank you!

Yes, you can use the turbo calipers and the 4 lug second gen hubs. Only thing you need to do is re-driled the rotors with the 4 lug pattern.

Would it be possible to use the S4 TII rotors which have the 4-lug pattern? Then nothing would need to be re-drilled. Please correct me if I am wrong, as I am debating this upgrade as well and have the same issue. My local auto parts stor shows the option for 4 or 5 lug rotors for the TII.

The TII only came with 5 lug rotors. The 4 lug rotors available are not the correct diameter or thickness.

i have done this conversion (although all the parts are yet to be fitted) i got the discs drilled at a local place no problem you will also need to get a slight lip milled of the hubs to ensure the discs fit flush, there is a write up on rx7club, search my user name there (not my wright up but i have commented on it)
