I'm about to tear apart my FB/TII project for a complete rebuild and paint.

I plan on installing one of your R&P kits, as well as your coilovers, camber plates, the works; when I get to assembling the front.

Anyways, I was reading through the install manual, and it seams to highly recommend having the engine and tranny installed.

Why is this, what can become out of place. FYI, I run a S5 TurboII engine, with a SE front cover and oil pan, and a S4 TurboII tranny, with a solid tranny mount.

We put that in there since the engine mount is slotted. Some one could tighten the engine mount and then not be able to fit thwe trans crossmember.

you can do it with the motor out. Just make sure to put on the trans crossmember before you tighten the engine mount.
