Hi all iam all the way from Australia and ive picked up an re-speed brake kit for my 1980 s1 rx7. It comes with 2X Spindle spacers, 2x adapter plates for s4/s5 rx7 4pot calipers, all the bolts an spring washers and flat washers, 2x bearing spacers. Ive got brand new s4 Hubs brand new s4 brake calipers,
My Problem is when i put the spindle spacers over my spindle and put in inner s4 bearing on followed by the s4 hub its ok. But the s4 outer bearing wont fit on my spindle there is a heap of play.
Do i need s3 83-85 on wards spindles?
Will s3 front strut fit in my s1?
Have i stuffed up some where or got confused?

Yes, the kit only works with 84-85 spindles. They have a larger outer diameter.

Thanks mate... Ive spoken to alot of different ppl over the weekend and have just found s3 struts wont fit in s1 rx7's.
Ok for my next question, is there a kit that i can get for my s1 that allows me to fit s4 hubs an calipers to my rx7 s1?

Yes, 1984-1985 struts WILL fit your car. They are 100% bolt on. Then the kit you have will work.
