I installed a set of Rear Lower Control arms on my '84 GSL-SE. I could immediately feel a difference in the feel of the rear end. I was freer in a good way.
But the lack of a rubber bushing created a significant in crease in road noise. and after just a couple of months there has been increasing vibration which is translating to the steering.
I could tolerate the the noise increase, but the vibration degrades the handling.
I have reinstalled the original control arms and the noise and vibration is gone.
Billy, any thoughts?

Yes, check the rod ends for play on the ball. If the ball floats to much in the rod end it will need to be replaced. It should be replaced with a high quality Teflon line rod end. Like the ones we supplied.

The reason behind this is dirt and grime. The rear of the car picks up so much dirt and grime. It sits on the ball and then when the suspension moves it acts like sand paper to the liner in the rod end. You must remember, Allot of our parts are for race cars. Race cars do not see as many miles and parts like bearings and rod ends are swapped out on a regular basis.

You can also look at adding rubber boots for the rod ends. This may help keep the grime off the ball and let the rod ends live longer. AED has full boots

Tell them you have RSM10T and RSML10T rod ends

You can always go with a seal rather than a boot. These do not keep as much dirt out though.
