Bought this 79sa from the original owner with 74k on it. Been sitting 10+ years in drive way.
After a carb build, new alt, new starter, new plugs, new cap, and flushed the tank she fired up.
Drove it for a little over 1k miles then heard noise from rear end. Upgraded to a 85 GSL rear end, and fixed the small holes in the hood (bird poop will kill your hood) for now till I am ready to paint, then I will get a different hood. Well painted the hood with the black spray on bed liner material and changed the rims to a newer FB style.

Ok, here is a picture of her with some front end parts removed before I decided what I was going to do.

Here is what I want to do to her:

Respeed - 1978-1985 Rx7, Stage II Crossmember with Rack/Pinion Conversion
Respeed - Front Coil over kit
Respeed - Camber plates
Respeed - Rear Coilover kit
Respeed - Big Brake Kit
Respeed - Front sway bar
Respeed - Strut Bar

and more to come..........

Here is what I want her to look like after my suspension is on and my 16" Panasports are on.
Shave all emblems and side markers, tint the windows black, and paint back factory silver.
(Gotta love photoshop)

Looks like a big project, but it will be well worth it. When you're finished, you'll be able to take some pride in what you've accomplished. Can't wait to see the final results. smile.gif

Good luck finding a Mindtrain exhaust. They won't start producing it again unless we get like 50 orders together. sad.gif

will be posting pics soon. Car just ran in a open track day two days ago. All I can say is WOW she handles. Now to get the carb issue fixed, set timing, and fuel pressure.

Still need to paint car but gonna hit some auto X's this year and see about paint over the winter.
